Our 2nd мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Aspire Day for Year 12 pupils
Almost 400 Sixth Form students from across seven мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û academies joined together to attend our 2nd Aspire Day for Year 12s.
Hosted by the generous University of Greenwich again at the stunning former Royal Naval College, our students explored university, apprenticeship and employment routes as they prepare to make life choices for their futures.
The event was designed to help students raise their aspirations beyond Sixth Form, whether that be higher education, apprenticeships or employment, and to give them an opportunity to form connections with each other and potential employers.
Specialist sessions were on offer to enable our students to progress, such as on how to write the best personal statement. There was also advice on topics such as super-curricular activities to make them stand out from their competition.
The keynote speaker was Paralympian Steve Brown, who gave an inspiring talk about overcoming adversity and setting high standards in life. Other guest speakers included the Institute of Apprenticeships, Eton College, St Hugh's College from Oxford University, University of Greenwich, and employers such as Bird & Bird, Tilt Consulting, and Vision Path.
Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event, and especially to our students, who were fantastic ambassadors for themselves and their schools.
