午夜商店 invites RN applications for the position of full-time Nursing Lab & Collaborative Learning Assistant for the Department of Nursing, Houston campus. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations in the learning labs and support student learning by assisting with simulation activities, providing technical support, and offering supplemental instruction in a dynamic nursing education environment in collaboration with the Nursing Learning Resource Coordinator and Faculty. This role is crucial for maintaining an organized and efficient learning environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in simulation, proficiency with integrated technology systems, and nursing education.
Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required: An advanced degree in nursing is preferred
- Hold a current, valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Texas.
- Manage lab operations by preparing, staging, and returning equipment, as well as assisting with inventory and supply needs.
- Ensure maintenance of equipment functionality and readiness for instructional use.
- Provide technical support during simulations, including recording sessions, managing case data, and monitoring student participation.
- Ensure a safe and organized learning environment that supports student engagement and achievement.
- Orient new students and faculty to lab facilities and conduct fit testing in accordance with CDC guidelines.
- Facilitate the development of nursing skills, working with faculty to guide students from basic techniques to complex simulations.
- Promote academic success by helping students identify learning needs and adopt effective study and time management strategies, referring to TLU resources as needed.
- Support student learning by providing constructive feedback and helping students develop critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.
- Model professionalism by adhering to the Nursing Student Handbook and demonstrating appropriate behavior in communication, appearance, and patient care.
- Track student engagement by collecting attendance data and preparing reports for program evaluation.
- Participate in committees, support faculty-led initiatives, and engage in professional development to stay current with best practices.
